A new restaurant and apartments are coming to Bristol County as part of a current renovation taking place.

According to Jay Pateakos, Executive Director of the Office of Economic & Community Development in Taunton, developer Steve Ferreira purchased last year the building housing Frank’s Good Times at 381 Winthrop St, built sometime in the early 1900’s, with the plan to keep well-known watering hole Frank’s Good Time Lounge open as long as he can throughout most of the construction process. Ferreira noted that 90% of the construction work can be completed before any interruption to Frank’s. “Most of the construction is around the Tavern space.”

His plans calls for renovating the building to include a 3,370-square-foot restaurant with 90 seats (67 restaurant and 23 bar) and six one-bedroom apartments above. The parking lot will be paved and new parking spots will be added to match the needs of the restaurant and additional apartments.

Ferreira hopes for the restaurant and apartments to be complete by late spring/early summer and for the restaurant to open shortly after.
