Massachusetts woman may be on the move soon after hitting $1 million prize on State Lottery instant game

A Massachusetts woman may be on the move after she hit some big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket recently.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Karen Allen of Methuen has claimed a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$5,000,000 100X Cashword” $20 instant ticket game.

She chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). Allen said she is thinking of buying a house with her winnings.

She purchased her winning ticket at Howe Street Superette, 163 Howe St. in Methuen. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

$5,000,000 100X Cashword has one $5,000,000 and zero $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
