A local man killed in a fatal motor vehicle crash in Freetown Saturday night is being remembered.

According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas Quinn, III, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Massachusetts State Police received 911 calls regarding a motor vehicle crash on Route 140 Southbound at Exit 10 in Freetown. Upon arrival, troopers located a black Hyundai Elantra in the center median that had catastrophic damage.  The vehicle appeared to have struck a portion of the guardrail head on, and it did not appear that any other vehicles were involved.

The operator and lone occupant, who was identified as Justin Graham of Lakeville, was found in the vehicle by first responders.  Graham was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased a short time later.

When Fall River Reporter contacted Graham’s daughter to tell us about her dad, she issued this touching tribute.

“My father Justin Romeo Graham was unlike anyone you’d ever meet. He sincerely would do anything he could to help someone, even a complete stranger. Your car breakdown and you need a ride? He would drop what he’s doing and pick you up. If you were moving and needed help with packing, he’d help fill up the boxes. if you had a theory about the universe that you wanted to talk about, he would listen excitedly. You could count on him for anything and everything, even as he was juggling 50 other things at once. He had so much love and passion in his heart that would fill any room he walked into. His big personality and great sense of humor would get a smile on anyone’s faces, such a goofball in the best way possible. He was a friend to everyone and truly one of a kind. His story wasn’t supposed to end so soon. He had so many plans and aspirations, always turning new leaves. His life, his love, his compassion will live on through those who were lucky enough to know and love him. The void he leaves will never be filled. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and neighbors. Sincerely, he was a one-of-a-kind man that I will forever be grateful to call my dad.”

The investigation into the cause of the crash is being coordinated by the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office along with the Massachusetts State Police.
