Single vehicle crash sends two to Fall River hospital

Multiple people were injured after a crash on Thursday afternoon.

According to police, a serious single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m. on South Main Street in Freetown.

Freetown Police responded quickly to the scene, where first responders provided immediate aid to two injured parties.

Both were transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River for treatment. Massachusetts State Police were notified due to the severity of injuries to one of the occupants.

South Main Street was closed to all traffic between Innovation Way and the MBTA Commuter Rail Station (153 South Main St.) but reopened at approximately 5:30 p.m.
