20-year-old motorcycle rider killed in Dartmouth highway crash to be remembered by Roger Williams University
A young Bristol County man killed recently in a collision is being remembered.
According to Trooper Luis Blanco of Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 11:30 p.m. on November 10th, Troopers from the Dartmouth Barracks responded to a motorcycle crash on Interstate 195 in the Town of Dartmouth. Dartmouth EMS was requested.
The operator of the motorcycle succumbed to his injuries. The operator, identified as Pierre Hriz Age 20, of Taunton, was pronounced dead by Dartmouth EMS on scene.
According to Roger Williams University, Hriz, was a legal studies major and member of the Class of 2027.
Pierre, originally from Syria, was a member of their “International Student and Scholar program and a dedicated learner with a bright spirit, a great sense of humor, and a profound love for his family.”
“RWU will honor Pierre’s memory and impact on campus during Global Fest on Tuesday, December 2, from 4–8 p.m. in the Upper Commons. Students, faculty, and staff who knew Pierre are invited to share memories and messages for his family in a book of remembrance, at the front desk of the Center for Student Academic Success on the second floor of the University Library.”
