After possible tornado yesterday, damaging winds expected, High Wind Watch issued for Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut
As weather experts determine if there was a tornado on Monday, damaging winds are expected in Rhode Island, most of Massachusetts, and parts of Connecticut.
According to the National Weather Service, a High Wind Watch has been issued for most of southern New England for late Wednesday night into early Thursday morning.
Westerly wind gusts of 55-65 mph are expected between 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday and 5:00 a.m. Thursday. Tree damage and power outages are expected.
According to WPRI 12 Meteorologist T.J. Del Santo, experts are looking into whether there was a quick tornado Monday evening in the Barrington/Swansea area.
