27-year-old man dies from injuries sustained in motorcycle crash in Acushnet

Crews responded to a Saturday night motorcycle crash that turned fatal.

According to scanner transmissions, a call came into dispatch just before 10:15 p.m. for a single motorcycle crash in the area of Heritage Road on Main Street in Acushnet.

Upon arrival, crews located a man lying on the ground unresponsive with a motorcycle up against a residence on Main Street.

According to ABC6, the 27-year-old operator was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford where he later died from his injuries.

The incident is under investigation.
