A New Bedford restaurant has branched out to Fall River.

Aliança Platter House is a restaurant specializing in Portuguese platters and buffet style takeout options.

APH is an expansion of the established Aliança Restaurant at 98 Cove Street in New Bedford, owned by Susie Amaral, who acquired the original location about six years ago and built its reputation for authentic Portuguese cuisine.

The new spot opened today at the former Mr. Chicken site at 652 Bedford Street.

The restaurant previously posted the following on social media.

“We want to be able to serve our guests our delicious Aliança food at our restaurant and celebrate with them by offering platters for any occasion without interrupting either service that we currently provide!

“We hate to say “no” to orders coming in or having to shut down the restaurant for a few hours or sometimes slow things down while we prepare big platter orders! So, this way we can still do both better and keep everybody Happy!!!

“We will still be doing some platters out of NB, just a little more controlled. Larger orders will be in Fall River. Delivery service will be an option eventually too!”

APH states that they are more than just a restaurant.

“It’s a celebration of Portuguese culture and cuisine. Nestled in the vibrant community of Fall River, we bring you the flavors of Portugal with a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. Our dedication to authentic dishes and exceptional service sets us apart. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, you’ll feel right at home with us.

“Our approach is simple: provide delicious food at excellent prices while ensuring every customer leaves with a smile. We believe in creating memorable dining experiences that keep you coming back for more. So why wait?

“Join us today and taste the difference that dedication and passion make. We look forward to serving you.”
