BROCKTON – Massachusetts State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one driver dead, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has announced.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. this morning, Marshfield Police and Fire responded to Plain Street at Lady Slipper Lane for a report of a two-vehicle crash involving a Marshfield Police vehicle. Upon arrival, first responders located the female operator of a red Subaru Forrester with injuries. She was transported to South Shore Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. She has been identified as Michelle Freestone, 79, of Marshfield. The Marshfield Police officer driving the other motor vehicle was not injured.
