72-year-old missing Massachusetts man with dementia found dead
A 72-year-old missing Massachusetts man with dementia has been found deceased.
According to Chief of Police William Kingsbury, a missing person search by the Holliston, Milford, Millis and Medway Police Departments resulted in police locating the body of Howard White, who was initially reported missing from his home in Medway by a family member on October 23, 2022.
White left his home at about 4:40 p.m. for a walk on Sunday October 23′ and did not return. It was common for White to take afternoon walks. His family reports he has dementia which may have impacted his ability to find his way home.
Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council (METROLEC) Search and Rescue and Investigations Units were actively involved in the search which ended when a Holliston Police Department patrol officer found White off the roadway on Washington Street in Holliston. White was declared dead on-scene by paramedics.
The Holliston Police Department, Middlesex County District Attorney’s Office and the State Medical Examiner’s Office will be conducting the investigation.
