70-year-old Westport motorcycle rider suffers life-threatening injuries in Dartmouth crash

DARTMOUTH, MA- A local man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash.
According to police, on Tuesday, at just before noon, the Dartmouth Police Department along with other emergency personnel responded to the area of 415 Division Road for a reported motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.
As a result of the crash, the operator of the motorcycle, a 70-year-old Westport man, was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford with suspected life-threatening injuries.
A second vehicle involved in the crash, a Chevrolet Cobalt being operated by a 19-year-old Westport man remained on scene and cooperated with the police investigation.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit.
Police stated that no further information regarding the extent of injuries is available at this time.
