68-year-old Massachusetts priest dies from injuries sustained in bicycle versus SUV collision

The bicyclist involved in a collision with a SUV on Route 138 in Milton on Wednesday succumbed to his injuries, Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said Saturday.
The bicyclist, 68-year-old Father James B. Doran of Milton, was taken to a Boston trauma center following the collision and was pronounced deceased Friday night.
The driver of the SUV, an 85-year-old man from Hyde Park, was not reported injured, according to DA Morrissey and Milton Police Chief John King.
Father Doran was a member of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary at the St. Joseph Retreat House in Milton.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Milton Police, the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police, and the Norfolk District Attorney’s Office.
