On Saturday, a multi-vehicle crash in Warwick sent four individuals to the hospital.

According to WJAR 10, the collision occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. directly in front of Warwick Fire Department’s Station Two.

According to Warwick Police, a vehicle operated by 61-year-old Michael Perry from Cranston veered left of center while traveling northbound, colliding head-on with another car and pushing it into a third vehicle trailing behind.

Shortly afterward, Perry was declared dead at Rhode Island Hospital, with fire officials attributing the crash to a preceding medical episode.

Jessel Guzman Luna, the 32-year-old driver of one impacted vehicle, was hospitalized due to injuries sustained.

Additionally, police reported that 24-year-old Joseph Kemley, who was behind the wheel of the third car, along with his passenger, were also transported to the hospital for treatment.

Responding crews shut down several lanes on Post Road to manage the scene.

According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, Perry “was truly one of a kind. Loving, strong, supportive, and full of life. He was the best father we could have ever asked for and an even better grandfather, deeply loved by all of his children and grandkids. His loss has left a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.”
