Peabody Properties, an affiliate of The Peabody Companies has announced the completion of Solara, in Tiverton, Rhode Island, a new construction apartment building expected to be ready for move-in this summer at 3 Mill Street.

Solara is the 17th community managed by Peabody Properties in Rhode Island. It is the sister community of Bourne Mill Apartments, a newly constructed four-story building consisting of 59 mixed-income apartments located on the site of the redeveloped Bourne Mill complex in Tiverton.

The community of studio (470 sq. ft.), one (623 – 650 sq. ft.)-, and two (866-909 sq. ft.)-bedroom apartments at Solara will feature amenities including a community room with billiards, lounge and caterer’s kitchen, a library, fitness center, electric car-charging stations, on-site covered parking, bicycle storage, landscaped courtyard with seasonal gardens, scenic pond front setting, and professional management with 24-hour emergency maintenance.

Monthly rent prices range from $1,020 to $2,100 according to Apartments.com.

Located in the heart of Tiverton, Solara will be accessible to shopping, dining, and entertainment destinations and close by to highways and public transportation stops.

Both Solara and Bourne Mill Apartments will benefit from solar heating initiatives as a result of grant funding from the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources. Peabody Properties states that as Net Zero Energy buildings, the total amount of energy used over the course of a year is roughly equal to the amount of renewable energy produced on-site. This balance is achieved through a combination of energy-saving measures, with the goal of significantly reducing environmental impact by minimizing greenhouse gas emissions.

I’m excited, I was wondering if it’s low income housing, because I’m on a fixed income? I’m looking for a 1 bedroom
