56-year-old man went to work at South Coast business today and never made it home

BROCKTON – A 56-year-old man was killed in an incident involving a tractor trailer at a Wareham warehouse facility, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has announced.

At approximately 9:43 this morning, Wareham Police received a 911 call for a report of a worker injured at Chatham Village Foods warehouse facility.

Upon arrival, first responders located a man behind a loading dock pinned by a tractor trailer unit, with apparently life-threatening injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene at 9:54 a.m. He is not being identified pending notification of next of kin.

Wareham Police contacted the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and began the investigation. The MSP Crime Scene Section, the MSP Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the MSP Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Section, were called in to assist in the investigation. The investigation is ongoing, at this time.
