A Massachusetts man killed in a pedestrian collision on Friday is being remembered.

According to scanner transmissions, at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Friday, a vehicle versus pedestrian crash took place on Route 1 near Kane’s Donuts.

CPR was performed on 53-year-old Brian McDonald, however, he was later pronounced deceased.

According to family members and a GoFundMe fundraiser, McDonald “was a beloved member of the community, always willing to lend a hand or share a kind word.”

NBC Boston states that the driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with authorities. The preliminary investigation revealed that McDonald “appeared suddenly and without warning.”
