4 ambulances respond to multi-vehicle crash with injuries involving Fall River police cruiser

Multiple people were injured, including a Fall River police officer, after a Tuesday afternoon crash.
According to scanner transmissions, just after 5:45 p.m. a call came into dispatch for a crash at President Avenue and Robeson Street.
Three vehicles were involved and towed including a Toyota, Hyundai Accent and a police cruiser. When we arrived on scene the police cruiser had already been towed away.
Initially, two ambulances were called to the scene for injures to an officer and another driver, however two more were also called to the collision.
According to a witness, at least one of the injured was a child.
All patients were transported to area hospitals.
No word on the extent of the injuries or what led to the crash.
