35-year-old who died from injuries in Brockton shooting being remembered
BROCKTON – Massachusetts State Police and Brockton Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man Tuesday evening, Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz has announced.
At just after 6:15 p.m., Brockton Police were contacted about a shooting in the vicinity of 28 Lexington Street and Green Street. Upon arrival, first responders located a male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital before being medflighted to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston where he was pronounced dead of his injuries. He has been identified as 35-year-old Marvin Hill of Brockton.
Hill was being remembered Thursday as a man with a good at heart who was a hard worker and looked after his friends and family.
Brockton Police contacted the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and began the investigation. The investigation is active and ongoing, at this time. Preliminarily, this does not appear to be a random act of violence.
