35-year-old Massachusetts mother dead, 2nd person injured in pedestrian crash that also damaged another vehicle
A Massachusetts mother has died after being injured in a pedestrian crash that also injured a second person.
According to police, on Tuesday, at just before 10:00 p.m., Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Clover St at South Ludlow St for a report of a serious pedestrian crash with two victims.
Upon arrival, officers located the victims and rendered medical aid. Both victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance, and the Crash Reconstruction Unit arrived to investigate.
One of the victims, a thirty-five-year-old woman, was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The second female victim suffered less serious injuries.
The preliminary investigation revealed that a vehicle was traveling south on South Ludlow Street towards Auburn. Two pedestrians crossed the street and were struck by the vehicle, which then continued to strike another vehicle.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser for funeral expenses, the fatal victim is Jamie-Lyn Fish. She was described as a beloved mother, daughter, friend and niece to many.
The incident is under investigation.
