35-year-old man seriously injured, driver facing several charges after pedestrian collision in Plymouth County
A Massachusetts driver is facing several charges after a man was seriously injured in a vehicle versus pedestrian collision.
According to police, on Friday, just after 7:30 p.m., members of the Hanover Police and Fire Departments responded to a reported motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian at 104 King Street.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 35-year-old male suffering from serious injuries. Officers immediately began to render medical aid while awaiting the arrival of Hanover paramedics.
An investigation into the crash resulted in the arrest of the involved operator, a 55-year-old female who is charged with OUI Liquor – 1st Offense, OUI Liquor – Serious Bodily Injury, Leaving the Scene of a Crash with personal injury, Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Property Damage, Failure to stay in Marked Lanes, and Negligent operation of a motor vehicle. Her name was not released.
The 35-year-old victim was transported to an area trauma center and later transferred to a Boston hospital.
The Hanover Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department BCI unit and the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Division.
