34-year-old Fall River man held on bail after cocaine, marijuana, thousands in cash seized

A local man is facing charges after cocaine, marijuana, and thousands in cash were seized.

According to police, at approximately 1:45 p.m., on Wednesday, officers assigned to the Drug Control Units of District A-7 (East Boston) and C-6 (South Boston) arrested Anthony Francisco, 34, of Fall River, on drug trafficking charges.

Officers were conducting a drug investigation and execution of search warrants in the area of 34 Westwind Road in Dorchester. As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered approximately seventy grams of cocaine, twenty grams of crack cocaine, four pounds of Marijuana, $6,062 in cash, and $20,550 in Dominican Republic currency.

Francisco was placed under arrest on charges of Trafficking of Class B, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D.

At his arraignment in South Boston court, Francisco pled not guilty and was held on $10,000 cash bail with a hearing scheduled for May.
