33-year-old man, 30-year-old woman arrested after Attleboro shooting that injured 59-year-old
The suspect in a shooting which occurred on Oakland Ave. in Attleboro on Saturday has been apprehended.
According to police, after an intensive investigation by Attleboro Police Department Detectives, 33-year-old Jacob Lacourse was located and taken into custody without incident on Tuesday. Investigators were able to track Lacourse to a residence on Dean St. in Attleboro.
He was subsequently transported to the Attleboro Police station to be booked on the warrant previously obtained by investigators for charges related to the shooting. He was then brought to Attleboro District Court, where he was arraigned on the charges of Assault and Battery with a Firearm and Carrying a Firearm without a License.
Lacourse was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. He is due back in court on Monday.
Over the course of the investigation, detectives developed probable cause to arrest 30-year-old Alexandra Elliott of Attleboro for the charges of Accessory After the Fact and Intimidation of a Witness.
She was arrested on scene along with Lacourse at the Dean St. residence.
She will be arraigned on Wednesday.
The shooting victim is a 59-year-old man suffering from injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Attleboro Police Detectives were assisted by Massachusetts State Police Troopers assigned to the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section.
