31-year-old man dead, 33-year-old woman injured in Raynham crash

RAYNHAM —Police Chief David LaPlante and Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita report that the Raynham Police and Fire Departments responded to a fatal crash Sunday night.

At approximately 8:15 p.m., Raynham Police and Fire received a 911 call for a driver that was operating erratically in the area of South Street West. Shortly after, the departments’ received reports that a motor vehicle had struck a tree on South Street West.

The driver, a 31-year-old male, was pronounced dead on scene. The lone passenger, a 33-year-old female, was transported to an area hospital for what are believed to be life-threatening injuries. 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by Raynham Police, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
