3 seriously injured after multi-vehicle Norfolk County highway collision

Multiple crews responded Saturday afternoon to a serious rollover crash with injuries and entrapment.

According to the Foxborough Firefighters Union, at approximately 12:50 p.m., E22 R27 Wrentham Engine & Rescues (2) were dispatched by SEMRECC/MECC on a co-response to the area of Route 1/Washington St & High Rock Road in Wrentham for a serious multi-vehicle crash with a rollover.

C24 arrived on scene to assist with the companies. Wrentham & Foxboro PD assisted with the traffic & investigation of the scene.

Upon arrival, E22 took command & found 2 vehicles involved: one vehicle on its side with heavy damage & the other vehicle upright with heavy front-end damage against the snow bank of the northbound side of Route 1/Washington St. E22 personnel confirmed there was a party in the vehicle who was heavily entrapped. JAWS/extrication tools were used to remove the trapped patient from the vehicle. The extrication process was approximately 15 minutes in total.

Foxborough & Wrentham Rescues transported a total of 3 patients with non-life threatening but serious injuries to a local trauma center.

The crash is under investigation.
