2nd Fall River man in the past 2 weeks doesn’t make it home after fatal injuries while on the job

A second Fall River man has died while on the job in the last two weeks.

A person familiar with the situation stated that 32-year-old Jose Luis Collaguazo Crespo tragically passed away Tuesday at his work, the Meshacket Commons project in Edgartown, Marthas Vineyard.

Authorities are investigating the case as a workplace accident which includes OSHA.

The Vineyard Gazette stated that at approximately 7:45 a.m., Crespo had fallen from a ladder about two stories into the basement of the unfinished building.

Crespo was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

In late January, a Fall River man died after a home being constructed collapsed.
