A Rhode Island man killed in a crash on Wednesday is being remembered.

At just after 2:00 p.m., a call came into dispatch for a collision on Plainfield Street in Providence where a Honda, driven by 29-year-old Joshua Diaz of Pawtucket, hit the rear left side of a dump truck.

Diaz was the only occupant in the vehicle and was unresponsive when crews arrived on scene. He was later pronounced dead at Rhode Island Hospital.

Diaz was being remembered as a nice and sweet man who always took time to help those close to him. He was described as an amazing father, boyfriend, son and friend to many. He knew how to brighten a room and spark a conversation with anyone.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
