28-year-old Rhode Island man found dead days after being reported missing
A missing Rhode Island man has sadly been found deceased, authorities say.
28-year-old Efrain Espinosa of Woonsocket was reported missing by his family on Saturday stating he was in need of immediate medical attention.
Family members last saw him alive on Tuesday at 11:30 p.m., after which he reportedly fled from them.
According to Patch Rhode Island, on Wednesday, at approximately 12:30 p.m., police responded to a report of a body floating face-down in the Blackstone River near the South Main Street Bridge. Officers found the body caught in brush on the riverbank. Woonsocket and Cumberland fire personnel recovered it, and the Rhode Island Office of the State Medical Examiner took custody.
No foul play or suspicious circumstances are suspected at this time.
The cause of death is under investigation.
