27-year-old Massachusetts man killed in motorcycle crash remembered for his love of animals
GROTON – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan and Groton Chief of Police Michael Luth have confirmed the ongoing investigation into a fatal crash that occurred Wednesday night on Boston Road in Groton.
The preliminary investigation suggests that at approximately 4:21 p.m. on Wednesday evening, a motor vehicle was traveling westbound on Boston Road and veered into the eastbound lane, striking a motorcycle head on. The operator of the motorcycle, identified as 27-year-old Cody Trudel of Ayer, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The operator of the motor vehicle, a 20-year-old Townsend woman, remained on scene.
Trudel was being remembered for being kind, funny, sweet, and his huge love for animals. So much so that he helped others with theirs in addition to being a realtor.
This crash is still being investigated by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, the Groton Police Department and the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
