24-year-old Massachusetts dirt bike rider loses several fingers in crash
A man riding a dirt bike suffered a serious hand injury on Thursday evening.
According to police, at approximately 8:30 p.m. Bellingham Public Safety Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a recreational vehicle crash in the sandpits located off Depot Street in Bellingham.
The caller reported a dirt bike rider had crashed and sustained a hand injury.
Bellingham Police and Fire responded to the scene and identified the victim as a 24-year-old male from Franklin.
First responding Officers Chofay and Gavin discovered that the victim had severed multiple fingers in the crash and was experiencing heavy bleeding from his hand. A tourniquet was applied to control the bleeding until paramedics were able to arrive and take over care. Officers were able to recover the lost appendages and return them to medical personnel to be brought to the hospital with the patient.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are being investigated by Bellingham Police in conjunction with the Massachusetts Environmental Police.

This is why we need a safe secure track for these young men and women to ride. They pay a lot of money for these bikes give them a place to use them safely.

Don’t have to be a dick dumazz. There right we need safe tracks to ride. We do pay very good money for these bikes and have nowhere to ride safely.
