A Massachusetts woman who died recently in a highway pedestrian crash is being remembered.

According to Trooper Luis Blanco, at approximately 11:00 p.m. Thursday, Massachusetts State Police Troopers out of the SP Milton barracks responded to a car striking a pedestrian on Route 24 South in the City of Brockton.

The pedestrian, 23-year-old Emily (Fae) Mullen of Brockton, was transported to a local hospital and was pronounced deceased.

Mullen, who was a Plymouth native, had a long struggle with mental illness, but that didn’t stop her from being a special human being.

According to an obituary, Emily had a desire to make positive changes within the mental healthcare field incorporating alternative and natural methods to help others heal from their trauma and mental illness.

She was smart, loved to write, and had several talents. “She taught herself to play piano, the ukelele, and also loved to sing. She was an artist at heart that loved arts of all forms including drawing, painting, music, makeup artistry, fashion, dancing with poi, fire spinning, and hoop dancing.”

Mullen was a great cook, adored all animals, and enjoyed helping others and making people smile which was part of her kind, caring, and loving nature.

A GoFundMe fundraiser was created ” to honor Emily/Fae’s life in a way that reflects the love, light, and beauty she brought to those around her, despite the pain she silently endured.”

Relative and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 24th from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.

In honor of her vibrant and colorful personality, the family requests that only casual, fun, colorful clothing be worn in lieu of formal, black clothing.
