22-year-old Fall River man pleads not guilty, held without bail, on gun and drug trafficking charges

A Fall River man has been held without bail after pleading not guilty in Fall River Superior Court Friday.

According to police, on the morning of November 27th, CAST Detectives, with the assistance of the Housing Unit, Emergency Services Unit, and the Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit, executed a search warrant at 189 Middle Street. The warrant targeted 22-year-old Anthony Kidd.

As a result of the search warrant, the following items were located inside of the residence:

– Smith and Wesson .22 caliber rifle

– FN509 9 mm handgun.

– Approximately 63.94 grams of suspected fentanyl.

– Approximately 28.67 grams of suspected crack cocaine.

– Approximately 48.46 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

– Approximately 30 grams of suspected Psilocybin mushrooms.

– $10,054 in cash.

Anthony Kidd was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm without LTC (2 counts), Unlawful Possession Large Capacity Firearm (2 counts, Possession of Ammunition with LTC, and Possession of a Firearm in Commission of Felony.

Kidd was indicted in Fall River Superior Court on February 6th on the charges of Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card (2 counts), Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card (2 counts), Possession of Large Capacity Feeding Device, Trafficking Cocaine 18 to 36 Grams, and Trafficking Fentanyl/Methamphetamine 36 to 100 grams.

At his arraignment Friday, Kidd pled not guilty and was held without bail pending the result of a dangerousness hearing.

His next scheduled court appearance is a pre-trial conference on April 29th.
