21-year-old grandson of Massachusetts Rep. Alan Silvia killed in crash while on active duty

The grandson of a local State Rep has died from injuries sustained in a tragic accident.

State Representative Alan Silvia released the following statement on Friday:

“It is with profound sadness that State Representative Alan Silvia announces the passing of his grandson, Adam Khan, age 21, a United States Marine serving on active duty.

“PFC Khan was assigned to the Military Police at Camp Lejeune. He tragically sustained fatal injuries in a motor vehicle accident while traveling to his duty assignment.

“The family asks for privacy during this difficult time. Funeral service arrangements have not yet been announced.”
