21-year-old Fall River man held on bail after arrest on several gun charges

A Fall River man is facing several gun charges after a recent arrest.

According to police, on Tuesday, members of the CAST Unit executed a search warrant at 1977 Rodman Street, second floor, targeting 21-year-old Keith Goncalo, who was believed to be in possession of an AK-47.

Detectives conducted surveillance and safely took Goncalo into custody when he arrived at the location. The search warrant was then executed without incident.

Inside the apartment, detectives recovered an AK-47 rifle, a large-capacity feeding device, and one round of ammunition from the suspect’s bedroom.

Goncalo has been charged with Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition Without an FID Card, Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card, and Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm.

According to court records, at Wednesday’s arraignment, Goncalo pled not guilty and was held on $2,500 cash ($25,000 bond).

His next scheduled court appearance is a pretrial hearing on August 15th.
