20-year-old Plymouth man killed in Massachusetts highway crash remembered as someone everyone loved to be around; fundraiser created
A Massachusetts man who died after an early morning highway crash is being remembered.
According to Massachusetts State Police, at just before 12:30 a.m., Troopers from the Barracks in Norwell responded to reports of a single motor vehicle crash on Route 3 Northbound near exit 17 in Kingston.
Troopers found a white Mercedes Benz had tumbled down an embankment into the woods.
The driver, and sole occupant, 20-year-old Benjamin Ruley of Plymouth, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A friend of Ruley told Fall River Reporter that everyone loved to be around Ben. Always getting everyone to laugh and smile.
“He was very proud of how far he came! An awesome friend. Always looking out for everyone he knew and loved. Truly an amazing person.”
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, to add to the family’s tragedy, Ruley’s mother just had her second major neck surgery and has been out of work. His father was just laid off after many years with the same company.
In addition to Massachusetts State Police, Kingston Fire/EMS also responded to the scene and Massachusetts State Police and Kingston Police are investigating the crash.
