$2 million winning lottery ticket sold at Massachusetts market with name destined to sell a winner
The name of a Massachusetts market that recently sold a big winning lottery ticket may have been a tip of what was to come.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Geydelin Wonder Trust of Boston has claimed a $2 million prize won on a Powerball ticket purchased in North Andover for the multi-state game’s Wednesday, December 17 drawing that featured a $1.267 billion jackpot.
The trust, represented by trustee Rebecca MacGregor claimed the $2 million prize (before taxes) Thursday, January 22 at the Massachusetts State Lottery’s Dorchester headquarters.
The winning ticket was purchased at Winners Corner, 2302 Turnpike St. in North Andover. The store receives a $20,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
