2 dead in Saturday morning plane crash in Woburn
Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that a plane crash this morning in Woburn has turned fatal.
Shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning, a 2006 4 seat Columbia Aircraft LC41 took off from Farmingdale, New York on Long Island on its way to Hanscom Airforce Base.
Shortly after 11:00 a.m., Woburn Police began to receive 911 calls in the vicinity of Minchin Drive in a wooded area near homes.
Both occupants, Dr. Michael Graver and his wife, Jodi Cohen, were killed in the crash. Graver, who was a co-owner of the plane, was described as a very experienced pilot by family members.
According to Ryan, there were no other injuries or fatalities which was fortunate considering how close the crash was to residential homes.
NTSB, FAA, MassDOT, Massachusetts State Police and Woburn Fire and Police are currently investigating.
