19-year-old charged with armed robbery after allegedly assaulting Fall River store clerk
A Fall River teen is facing charges after an incident at a city liquor store.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira, at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, Units responded to Economy Liquors located at 929 North Main Street after receiving a call for service regarding a fight in the business.
Upon arrival, officers learned that 19-year-old Anthony Harrington attempted to steal multiple bottles of alcohol. When the clerk attempted to intervene, Harrington attempted to strike the clerk with one of the bottles. He would later strike the clerk in the neck area with a fist.
Harrington was arrested on scene by Officer Nicholas Soule with the assistance of Officer Brandyn Silva and charged with Armed Robbery.
