18-year-old with Fall River ties killed in Cape Cod crash remembered

A Massachusetts teen who died from injuries sustained in a recent crash is being remembered.
Cape & Islands District Attorney Robert Galibois announced that on Friday, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Massachusetts State Police Bourne barracks received multiple calls regarding a single vehicle crash, which occurred on Route 28 North, at mile marker 55.6, in the Town of Falmouth.
Upon arrival of first responders and the State Police, a vehicle was observed off the roadway, down an embankment, with catastrophic damage. One occupant of the vehicle, a teen, was located underneath the vehicle and was determined to be no longer viable for resuscitation, by members of the Falmouth Fire Department. Two other injured occupants of the vehicle were located outside of the vehicle. One individual was med-flighted to a trauma center and a second individual was ultimately transferred to a Boston area hospital.
The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Kayden Coombs of Falmouth.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser for memorial expenses, Kayden was a beautiful soul, full of life, dreams, and love.
His aunt from Fall River thanked the community for their support.
“His sudden passing has left us all devastated. We are truly grateful for your support, whether it’s through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing this campaign with others. Every little bit helps, and your kindness means the world during this incredibly difficult time.”
Members of the State Police Detective Unit, assigned to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s office, MA State Police, Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, and the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Section, Falmouth Police & Fire Departments, and other assisting agencies were on scene and will continue conducting the investigation.
District Attorney Galibois stated that his thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the individuals involved during this incredibly difficult time.
The investigation is on-going.
