18-year-old suspect in rash of car break-ins from several area communities has been captured
A suspect that was wanted for a string of local car break-ins has been apprehended by officers.
According to police, recently, The Town of Seekonk and its neighboring communities experienced a rash of vehicles being broken into and motor vehicle thefts occurring over several weeks.
Armed with information developed by Seekonk Detectives, a Directed Patrol to address the thefts was deployed.
During the specialized patrols, Seekonk officers interrupted a break into a vehicle in progress.
The suspects fled but were later apprehended in a motor vehicle that had been stolen from Seekonk.
The suspect was identified as 18-year-old Chaz Gagnon from Pawtucket, and he faces numerous charges from several different jurisdictions.
Seekonk Police wanted to remind the public to always lock your doors and take valuables with you.
