18-year-old Fall River teen released on personal recognizance after arrest on drug and firearm charges

A Fall River teen is facing several charges after a recent arrest and investigation.

According to Fall River Police, on Wednesday, CAST Unit Detectives and members of the ESU Team were investigating information related to an assault rifle pistol being in the possession of an unlicensed individual.

During the course of their investigation, they determined that the rifle had been placed in the possession of 18-year-old Noah Carreiro. They developed probable cause to apply for a search warrant for Noah’s residence inside Pleasant View Housing Development. The search warrant was granted, and a search was executed on Noah’s residence.

During the search, the following items were seized:

• Hi-Point 9mm Assault Rifle Pistol

• 264 cannabis vape cartridges

• $6,000 in cash

• AR-15-style replica BB gun

Carreiro was arrested for the following charges:

• Possession of a Firearm Without an FID Card

• Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm

• Possession Class D Substance with Intent to Distribute

According to court records, at Thursday’s arraignment, Carreiro pled not guilty and was released on personal recognizance with a probable cause hearing scheduled for July 20th.
