WEST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Timothy Nixon reports that the West Bridgewater Police Department has summonsed a Milford man with alcohol-related charges following an investigation into a crash early Sunday morning.
At just after midnight, police responded to the area of 724 West Center St. (Lowe’s) for reports of a car that struck a building and caught fire.
Police arrived on scene and observed a white sedan engulfed in flames. Three occupants of the vehicle, all male, were standing outside of the vehicle when police arrived.

One passenger, as well as another passenger who had initially fled the scene, were transported via ambulance to area hospitals for injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The driver of the vehicle was also taken to a local hospital by family members for treatment of injuries not believed to be life-threating.
The driver was charged with Operating Under the Influence of Liquor and Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
The investigation into this case by the West Bridgewater Police Department remains active and ongoing.
