18 wheeler and car collide in Fall River
A serious accident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon
A serious accident occurred shortly before 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon in Fall River at the corner of South Main and King Phillip St.
A hit and run of a tractor trailer truck allegedly occurred, but officers were able to track the driver down in Tiverton. According to a witness, a few motorcycle riders followed the trailer and they stopped the driver in the area of Famous Pizza in Tiverton before officers arrived.
As of 4:15 traffic is still blocked in the area.
A female driver was extracted from the vehicle using the jaws of life and sent to RI hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time. Another female was also transported to a local hospital.
