18 candidates certified to run for Fall River City Council on Nov. 2
Fall River residents will have up to 18 candidates to choose from in Fall River’s general election scheduled for November 2, 2021. There are not enough candidates to force a preliminary city council election on September 21.
Fall River will have a preliminary election for mayor as four candidates filed to run, one more than the minimum needed for a preliminary election. Cliff Ponte is the only city council incumbent not running for re-election because he is running for mayor.
Here is the list of Fall River City Council candidates, but several still need to complete the final step of filing certified nomination papers with the city clerk due by Aug. 6.
