A Massachusetts teen who died from injuries sustained in a weekend crash is being remembered as fundraisers have been announced.

According to Chief Michael Carbone, at just after 12:15a.m. on Saturday, Duxbury Police and Fire were dispatched to Harrison Street for a report of a single vehicle crash into a tree.

Upon arrival, officers found the operator and lone occupant, a 17-year-old female from Pembroke, entrapped in the vehicle. The juvenile was unresponsive and needed to be extricated from the vehicle with the Jaws of Life. Life-saving measures were provided on scene and the juvenile was transported via Med Flight to MA General Hospital.

On Monday evening, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner notified the Duxbury Police that the juvenile operator from the crash had succumbed to her injuries.
