16-year-old Fall River teen killed in highway crash remembered for thoughtfulness, quick humor
A Fall River teen killed in an early morning highway crash is being remembered.
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, at just after 1:00 a.m. Saturday morning, Massachusetts State Police received 911 calls for an erratic operator at high speeds on Route 195 West in Dartmouth.
Upon arrival to 195 west in the area of the Reed Road Exit (approximately 1 mile prior), police located a KIA sedan that had left the roadway and was located crashed in the median.
Police determined the vehicle’s two occupant’s, a male and female-both teenagers from Fall River, had been ejected and were located in the left travel lane. Both occupants were pronounced deceased on scene.
The vehicle was newly reported stolen out of Fall River.
According to a family member, 16-year-old Brielle Raposo was “a very beautiful smart and intelligent young woman and didn’t deserve to die like this. She was always so thoughtful and full of smiles.”
A GoFundMe fundraiser states that “Brielle was one of 5, with 4 younger brothers that she loved very much. She was a witty, sassy girl who also loved to tease, was quick with humor, and loved to hassle her kid brothers, but you’d always see her carrying them around and with them in tow.”
Family members say Brielle was a passenger in the vehicle, however, that has not been confirmed by authorities.
The crash is still under investigation.
