A teenager was rushed to the hospital due to injuries sustained in a crash on Monday afternoon.
According to Somerset Police, shortly after 4:00 p.m., Somerset PD responded to the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Buffinton Street for a crash involving a motor vehicle and a motorized bicycle.
The operator of the bicycle, a 15-year-old Berkley resident was transported to Hasbro Childrens Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the bicycle’s operator was traveling east on Buffinton Street and failed to stop at the stop sign thereby striking a car traveling south on Riverside Avenue.
