15-year-old Massachusetts teen dies from injuries sustained in shooting, remembered as a happy boy

A Massachusetts teen has died from injuries sustained in a shooting.
At approximately 8:10 p.m., on Thursday, June 12th, Officers assigned to District D-14 responded to a radio call for a person shot in the area of 17A Gordon Street in Allston.
Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old juvenile, Phillip Franco, outside of 7 Pomeroy Street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital where he remained until pronounced deceased on Tuesday.
The cause and manner of his death is pending with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
According to those who knew him, Philip studied at Mary Lyon Pilot High School and was a happy boy who was loved by everyone who knew and spent time with him.
