15 month old Massachusetts foster child who died over the weekend may have been exposed to fentanyl
The Essex District Attorney’s Office is investigating the death of a 15-month old girl who died at Lawrence General Hospital on Sunday morning.
The child’s foster father called Lawrence Police and Emergency services at approximately 8:55 a.m. on Sunday morning reporting that the child was unresponsive. She was transported to LGH and pronounced dead a short time later. She showed no obvious signs of trauma.
The case is under investigation pending a ruling from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner on the cause and manner of death.
According to Boston 25 News, sources and family members have expressed that the child may have been exposed to fentanyl.
