13 year old teen shoots 12 year old in Taunton.

On Monday October 9, 2017 at approximately 12:13 P.M. the Taunton Police Department responded to the area of 100 Highstone Street for a reported shooting. When Officer Deforitis arrived he located a 12 year old male subject that had sustained a single shot to his left arm. The shot had entered his left arm on the outside of his elbow and exited on the inside of his elbow. The bullet continued on into his lower rib cage where it remained.
The shooter is 13 years old. It is reported there has been an on- going feud between the two young men.
The juvenile suspect lives on Rhode Island Road in East Taunton, very close to the victim.
The suspect is alleged to have felt threatened, returned to his home, unlocked a gun safe, went back to a wooded area where the victim was located and shot him.
The weapon was a 22 long rifle.
The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital.
The suspect was located back at his residence. He was arrested, transported back to TPD and is charged with one count of Assault and Battery with a deadly weapon, Possession of a loaded firearm without a license and discharging a weapon within 500 feet of a dwelling.
