13-year-old suffers 24 broken bones, bleeding in his brain, abdomen, after bicycle collision in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, MA — A 13-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a car on Saturday in Plymouth.
According to multiple reports, Plymouth police responded to a report of a car-bicycle collision around 1:00 p.m.
The teen was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver remained at the scene, according to police.
No information has been released regarding potential charges against the driver. however, details have been released concerning the injured boy.
According to a family friend and a fundraiser, Gage Lavoie was airlifted to Boston Children’s Hospital, where doctors discovered 24 broken bones, as well as bleeding in his brain and abdomen.
